Pep Rally: “A Night in Paris”

Scott Gutierrez and Hadaasa Nae

Bonjour! Comment ça va? J’espère que vous avez un jour bien! Let’s go back to English! Homecoming is one of the most awaited events for most students on campus. It is the time to be creative and to cliche HoCo proposals as well as our football athletes getting revved up and excited to play the annual Homecoming Game.

The students of Birmingham experienced one the most captivating pep rallies last October 13th.  “A Night in Paris” was the theme of the pep rally was again organized by the wonderful and talented ASB members and held at the main gym. ASB went far beyond the norm to emphasize the theme by putting an Eiffel Tower in the middle of the basketball court. The Eiffel Tower was made up of black and white balloons, and stood tall enough to scratch the top of the gym’s very high ceiling. Posters were also pasted on each side, making two teams competing in set-up competitions such as box stacking with your feet tied as well as a bouncy ball race against one person chosen from each opposing side.

A great time was had by all and all three pep rallies were packed with students.  A big thank you to Ms. Rubinger, ASB, the award-winning BCCHS Cheerleaders, the BCCHS Dance Team, the BCCHS Marching Band, and of course the Varsity BCCHS Football Team!
