Emily Renteria – Editor in Chief
Emily Renteria is a Senior at Birmingham Community Charter High School and is Co-Editor in Chief for The Patriot Post. She has attended BCCHS for four years, and although she lives in North Hollywood, she is driven to commute 30 minutes everyday because of the school's positive and enthusiastic environment. Ms. Renteria is grateful for the teachers' constant encouragement and motivation for their students. The young author expresses that the experiences she has been exposed to at Birmingham have largely contributed to molding her into the person she is today.

Emily has a passion for literature, cinema, and nature. She enjoys exploring cities, spending time with friends and family, and especially loves writing--her creative outlet. She is always working to improve her understanding of the world around her; she is currently learning how to properly appreciate art (such as paintings, sculptures, and architecture.) Emily tries her best to have a positive attitude as well as a positive impact in her community.

She plans to attend the University of Chicago or the University of Notre Dame to pursue her Doctorate in Philosophy. Emily is not completely sure what career she wants to pursue after attending college, but whatever it is she decides to do, it would be for the benefit of the world we live in.
