On Friday night, October 24th, Despicable Me 1 and 2 were presented at the quad. The event was hosted by Birmingham’s Latino Club. The movies were accompanied with snacks such as nachos, hot dogs and candy. There was a good turn out to the event. “About 75 students attended,” reported c0-club sponsor Mrs.Urbina. Although some came and went, the atmosphere was pleasant. According to the other club sponsor, Mrs. Pedrani,  “A favorable amount of profit was made.” The club members also did a swell job of serving and assisting those who endured the cold night for the event[How?]. The four hour event was well worth the $5 ticket and free nachos. It was a much better option than an $8 movie and $5 concession stand snack for a Friday night plan.
