Beast Coast Colab Album Glorious
May 15, 2019
In today’s music, the East Coast have many artists who are putting out several albums. These artists consists of Joey BadA$$, Flatbush Zombies, The Underachievers, Kirk Knight, and Nyck Caution. Joey BadA$$ is a rapper from Brooklyn, New York who has eight studio albums. Flatbush Zombies is a rap group from the Flatbush section of Brooklyn which has three members. The members are Meechy Darko, Eric Arc Elliot (who is also the producer), and Zombie Juice. They have have two studio albums and three mix tapes which got them into the rap game. The Underachievers is a rap due also from Flatbush, which have three studio albums and three mixtapes. Their names are AKTHESAVIOR and ISSA Gold. They have perfect chemistry which gives them a unique sound. Kirk Knight is a producer and rapper from the group Pro ERA, he is from Brooklyn. Finally, Nyck Caution, who also in the Pro ERA rap group, has three studio albums.
Beast Coast released a song called “Left Hand” to give a sneak listen to the album they are working on, but they still have not given it a name. “Left Hand” is a nice, smooth song which let all the rappers flow. Every rapper rapped on this song except Eric Arc Elliot because he was the main producer for this song. This song is a mixture of different flows in which they expressed how unique their rap group is. The cover for this single is Meechy blowing out smoke while showing off his grills.
The second song they have dropped is “Coast/Clear” which dropped on April 12th. This song was very interesting because it started with a different beat. This beat was a trap beat that had a lot of bass and treble. All the rappers had a different flow in which showed that they can adapt their voice to make it sound good with any beat. Meechy Darko and the other rappers took their fans by surprise because everyone was expecting to hear the same sound they have had in the past. Joey BADA$$ and ISSA GOLD came in at the end to finish the song strong. Both of them went hard on the beat which means they rapped so many phrases that it properly finished the song.
After letting their debut track fly, Joey took to Instagram announcing a group tour for Beast Coast. The Escape From New York Tour includes all of the members previously mentioned and is slated to kick off over the summer in Seattle on July 23 after a few festival dates. Beast Coast have set tours dates across America, from California to Florida. They have set two dates for California, first on June 30 at FivePoint Amphitheater in Irvine. The second is on June 30 at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The West Coast is very excited because the rappers in this group rarely come to California. The tickets are on sale now and a lot of the dates have been sold out. It is sold out in Seattle at the WAMU Theater.
