Young Los Angeles Rams Struggle, but the Future is Bright
December 12, 2016
From the Saint Louis Rams to the Los Angeles Rams. Last season was a shock to find out the Rams were coming back to Los Angeles this season. It has been a rough season for them but that’s not much of a surprise because it’s been a while since they’ve been to the playoffs. Also, the team is full of young players so they don’t have much experience. This team has had many bumps throughout the season and just recently replaced their starting quarterback Case Keenum and opened the door for rookie quarterback Jared Goff.
The Rams have gone through a big struggle this season only having 4 wins and 9 losses including yesterday’s big loss against the Atlanta Falcons 42-14 at the Los Angeles Coliseum. Every team only has three games left till playoffs and that means the Rams don’t have a chance at the playoffs even if they won their next three games. Their next three opponents will be the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, and Arizona Cardinals with only one game being away which is against the Seahawks and the other two will be at home. All California teams this year have struggled a lot but the San Diego Chargers have done the best with five wins and eight losses. Out of the three upcoming games the Rams have, they can possibly only beat the 49ers because the other two are pretty tough teams.
This season has pretty much wrapped up already for the Rams, but they’ll have a chance to pull more players in the draft and this year will be a memory to all because of the return of the Rams. It’s been a rough start to the return but they’ll get better with experience. The defense is pretty good holding down the most teams but now it doesn’t really matter because they don’t have a chance. The offense has always struggled for the past couple years, but have some wins–unlike the Cleveland Browns this season having 0 wins and 13 losses. To all Los Angeles Rams fans this season, it has just been an experience but by giving the players time to know each other, they will get better.
