Adriana Centeno is a 17-year-old senior,  this would be her first year attending Birmingham Charter High School. She was born on May 20, 2007, in Los Angeles, California. For it being Adriana’s first year at Birmingham she’s been enjoying it so far. She compliments the organization of all the school activities. She is the eldest child of 2 younger brothers who are years younger than her. Adriana played softball for six years from ages 10-16 but no longer plays due to an injury she endured. She also played basketball and volleyball for a little bit but decided to break away from sports. 

Adriana also occasionally joins club meetings with the friends that she has made at Birmingham which include First Gen and Senior Senate. Adriana would say that her favorite subject is English because she can tolerate it the most compared to other subjects. However, she’s always found math to be the most challenging to grasp. One of the main reasons as to why Adriana decided to transfer to BCCHS was because her previous school was very small and she wanted to enjoy all the high school events that a bigger school had to offer like football games and student dances.  Adriana loves going out with her friends and having a good time. She tries to hang out with them as much as she can. 

Adrianna plans to attend a 4-year college and study psychology. One career interest that has stood out to her is becoming a social worker. She plans on developing better writing skills in journalism.
