Anthony Musich is a 17-year-old junior at Birmingham Community Charter High School in Van Nuys, California. His passion for engineering and problem-solving has shaped his career aspirations to join the U.S. Navy as an electrician or pursue a career in engineering. While Anthony doesn’t have a specific dream college in mind, he plans to attend trade school and believes the Navy will offer the hands-on experience he’s looking for. Outside of his academic life, he enjoys socializing and meeting new people. He finds the new perspectives and experiences that come from these connections to be incredibly enriching and loves how they open his mind to new ideas.
At school, Anthony is a dedicated Front Page Editor for the journalism program. He enjoys researching, writing, and connecting different ideas to tell engaging stories. During work sessions, he’s known for snacking, a habit that helps him stay focused and energized. Outside of writing, Anthony is committed to staying fit and works out regularly with his best friend, Isaac. Whether it’s pushing himself at the gym or brainstorming engineering solutions, he thrives on challenges that allow him to be creative and hands-on.
Anthony’s love for math and engineering drives much of his daily life. He’s always looking for ways to solve problems or build effective solutions, whether it’s working on a personal project or fixing something around the house. In his downtime, he enjoys gaming, with a wide range of genres, from first-person shooters to open-world games. He also enjoys cooking, especially making dishes like steak, shrimp pasta Alfredo, and fresh guacamole. Cooking provides him with a creative outlet where he can experiment with flavors and share his delicious meals with friends and family.
Anthony’s taste in music is just as diverse as his hobbies. He enjoys listening to rock, punk rock, punk, and hip-hop, with artists like Deftones, Rare American, and Crystal Castles being some of his favorites. Music is a key motivator for him, helping him stay focused and energized as he works toward his goals. His motto, “Work hard and smart, relax later when the job is done,” reflects his approach to life. Anthony believes in putting in the effort now to reap the rewards later, both in his career and personal life.
