Camila Mancia is a 16-year-old junior, and this is her first year attending Birmingham Community Charter High School. She likes the school and feels very welcomed. She was born on August 18, 2008, in Sacramento, California. She hopes to be a really big help in journalism since she has dreamed of being a part of something like this, and she hopes to gain better writing skills in journalism.

Camila’s biggest interests are music, cats, rom-coms, and going out with friends. Her favorite artists are Cuco and Misfits, and she loves to listen to them on repeat daily. Her number one favorite thing is to be anywhere with her friends. It doesn’t matter the time, day, or place; she’ll always show up. Her social battery never runs out, and she is willing to talk to anyone and make new connections. Her hobbies include ice/roller skating, volleyball, and doing nails. She feels very at ease doing those things she loves.

Camila’s goals for her future are to get a good job and be able to have her own life once she finishes high school. Her biggest goal is to get her dream job which is being an ultrasound technician. She plans to accomplish that by going straight to a program that will train her and be able to get her certificate to start working. After that, she plans to work hard to be able to travel and have enough stability to be able to have her own family.
