Elizabeth Chavez is a 15-year-old sophomore attending Birmingham Community Charter High School. Elizabeth was born in Burbank, California. Her dad is from El Salvador and Guatemala and her mom is from the U.S. and she has one younger brother. Her brother is a freshman and he is in the SAS program. Her interests include sports, dance, soccer, volleyball, tennis, and more. Her hobbies are photography, painting, music, gardening, baking and cooking. She also loves to go on adventures and see the sunsets and sunrises and take pictures with her Canon camera or simply just with her phone. When she was younger, in her free time, she would be drawing animals or painting on a canvas and making art for her parents. Her favorite kind of gift is flowers but mainly roses.
Her favorite movie of all time is Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris because of the message it gives and how rather entertaining it is to her. She likes to go out with her family or just with her mom and take her dog to the park. Elizabeth also likes to spend time at her cousin’s house as she doesn’t get to see them as often because they live farther away. She has had a rough freshman year but is striving to improve. She looks forward to getting a better GPA this year, not just to prove her worth to herself and be satisfied, but to also make her parents proud and feel impressed by the accomplishment that she has set her mind to.
Her parents always encourage her that she can do it as long as she puts in the effort and time because they believe she is capable of it and she doesn’t notice it yet. Elizabeth loves helping others and caring for them. She goes out with her dad and brother to give the homeless food, water, and clothes. Most importantly, she loves to put a smile on her parent’s faces and help them with anything they need and/or make them breakfast or also dinner so that they can take a break. She loves to talk and hang out with her friends but also loves to have her own time to herself by listening to music resting, etc. Elizabeth’s career aspiration is to do real estate or something under business. Her second dream is to become a professional dancer. What she likes about Birmingham is that there are many opportunities including a wide range of sports, clubs, and career pathways to benefit your future and yourself. Before going to bed, she likes to make sure all her work is complete, and all her devices are at full charge for the next day.
