Elsa Araujo is a 16-year-old junior born on August 13, 2009, in California. She loves cats; she has one 2-year-old cat named Mishuu. She would like to own a chunky cat when she grows up. She is also interested in making snacks like candy apples, tamarindo-covered apples, ice cream, paletas, etc. Elsa has 5 siblings, 3 older brothers and 2 younger sisters.

This is Elsa’s third year at Birmingham Community  Charter High School. She loves hanging out with her friends here. She thinks the school lunch is pretty good too. Her brother and aunt used to attend Birmingham in the past. Elsa likes the beach, warm weather, the summer, meeting new people, having fun, watching scary movies, candy, fresh cut fruit, mangoes, animals, hanging out with her friends, family, and spending the day with her Mom. Elsa spent most of her summer sleeping in, hanging out with her best friend Ashley, and binge-watching movies. One of her favorite movies is “The Nightmare on Elm Street.” She enjoys going to water parks like Knott’s Berry Farm, Soak City, and amusement parks like Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Six Flags. Elsa went to Knott’s Soak City during the summer with her family.

She aspires to be either a cosmetologist or a social services worker. Elsa hopes to reach her dream job, planning on doing cosmetology as more of a side job and being a social worker as a main job. Some ways she is planning on achieving her goals are by applying for cosmetologist school and starting as soon as she turns 17. She enjoys doing her mom’s hair, makeup, and nails whenever they have a little outing planned together. Elsa likes making people feel better and helping them out with anything she can. Some things that she doesn’t like are the cold, super hot days, onions, and spinach.
