Eva Menjivar is a 16-year-old junior who is currently attending Birmingham Community Charter High School. She was born on November 4th, 2008, in Los Angeles, California. She is determined to do anything in the medical field. She wants to either be a Nurse Practitioner or a Plastic Surgeon. She wishes to be in the medical field because her biggest inspiration is her mom, who is a nurse and has worked the hardest to get to where she is now. Her dream is to study at UCLA and get her master’s. She has enjoyed her years here at Birmingham so far and can’t wait, but is also terrified of going into senior year next year. She has six siblings; she’s the oldest on her mom’s side, followed by her little brother and two little sisters. On her dad’s side, it’s her stepsister, stepbrother, and half-brother. She is a very family-centered person; she loves and cherishes her family very much. She has a dream to one day take care of her family and help her parents retire.
Eva likes exploring new areas and loves to go on drives anywhere, especially at night. Her favorite view is the beach because she finds peace there. Her favorite subject is math because she is naturally good at it. She has also played a lot of different sports throughout her life. When she was small, she did ballet, basketball, and swimming. When she was in elementary school, she did volleyball, soccer, and softball. In middle school, she did dance, volleyball, and cheer. In high school, all she has done is All-Star Cheer. One of her favorite hobbies is listening to music; she also secretly likes cleaning because it brings her peace of mind.
She hasn’t really traveled outside of the country, but she has gone to a few states: Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, and Washington. She also has four dogs that she takes everywhere. When she and her family went to Oregon, she took her dogs with her to have the same experience she did. As of right now, she is trying to focus on school while also juggling work, but she doesn’t mind because she is used to doing multiple things at once. In the end, she is in a very good place in her life and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.
