Genesis is a 17-year-old senior and her birthday is November 17, 2005. She has been at Birmingham Community Charter High School for all 4 years. She loves to have fun with her family and her friends, and she'd rather spend more time outside than inside.

She loves going to El Salvador and has gone many times since she was three years old, mostly during her winter break. She is very proud of having Salvadorian blood in her. Every September 15, she wears her Salvadorian shirt because there is a very special occasion on that day. Her favorite food is pupusas. She loves skirts and dresses the most, especially those with very bright colors. Her favorite color is pink and red. Her favorite season is winter because she likes the fresh feeling. She also likes the rain and sunny days--when it is not 103 degrees! Her dream is to make her parents proud by having a good job and one day be able to buy them their dream house. She wishes to get her dream car, a Genesis. She likes it because obviously because it has her name.

Genesis is a very grateful person. She thanks God every day for her life even though she is a very happy young lady who has also been through a lot. In 2015, she was diagnosed with lupus and her health went downhill when she was only nine years old. She said that lupus is like cancer and it is treated the same with chemotherapy, and she did lose some hair. Yet she stayed strong and kept her faith in God, and if you see her now, she is perfectly fine and you would never imagine that she went through something so horrible. This is a big reason why she would take risks in everything because she was given the gift of a healthy life and wants to be able to live it to her fullest.

One of her main dreams is to travel everywhere and help out families in need. She wishes that she had all the money she needed so she could help everyone. That is why she said that she wants a good job. Her dream is to travel to places like Israel, Egypt, Guatemala, and Honduras. She would love to bring happiness to people's faces, help them get a better education, and help get them out of poverty. She thinks that she gets her big heart from her grandmother. She enjoys helping everyone whenever she can.
