Jesse Morales, Staff Writer
Jesse Morales was born on March 8, 2007, in Van Nuys Hospital. For all four years of high school, Jesse Morales has been attending Birmingham.
Jesse’s freshman year began right when schools began going back to real/live teaching, which was after the COVID-19 lockdown had finally stopped. His favorite color is red and his favorite food is spaghetti. Jesse’s preferences for music vary but he mainly sticks to old-school hip-hop or oldies.
He owns two dogs, a Jack Russell Terrier named Jack, and a Golden Retriever named Teddy. Jesse used to attend boxing classes. One of his favorite hobbies is taking walks with his dogs around his neighborhood. Jesse has two older siblings. His oldest sibling is his brother and the middle sibling is his sister–both attended Birmingham a few years before Jesse.
Jesse is Roman Catholic and both of Jesse’s parents came from the same small town in Oaxaca. The state of Oaxaca is located in the southern part of Mexico, directly under Puebla. Jesse can speak three languages which include English, Spanish, and Zapotec. Zapotec is a language spoken by indigenous communities in Oaxaca. Different variations of the language exist throughout the state since the language is taught generationally and varies depending on the region, location, and culture.
In the future, Jesse hopes to be able to graduate from a university, as well as travel all across North, Central, and South America.
