Joey Andrade

Joey Andrade, Staff Writer

Joey Andrade is a 17-year-old senior attending Birmingham Community Charter High School. Joey was born in Burbank, California, and raised in Van Nuys. Joey is the only child in his family and he lives with his parents alongside his one dog Gigi. He loves to make music, work on cars, and spend time with people he cares about.

Joey Andrade plays guitar and focuses his free time on making Mexican Regional music. He even has an album published on all platforms. He used to rap and sing songs, but he thought that Spanish music was more his style. Joey's stage name is “Joey Andrade” and he plans to pursue his dreams of trying to blow up his music and become a well-known artist. Joey decided to use his knowledge of writing to take a journalism class to tell stories because it's what he enjoys. Joey also plays an instrument called tololoche which is the Spanish term for a double bass.

Joey loves to work on cars when he isn't working on music. He has a Ford F-150 truck and takes great care of it. Joey wants to go to school, learn about mechanical engineering, and take classes to fix cars while performing upgrades on them. Joey decided he wanted to do this because his father showed him the love that he had for cars and that same love was later passed on to him. His mother showed him the love she has for music. That is why he has a big passion for pursuing both music and engineering when he grows up.
