Kelly Lemus is a 16-year-old junior who attends Birmingham Community Charter High School. This is her third year attending Birmingham. She has lived in the San Fernando Valley her whole life. Her mom’s side is from Jalisco, Mexico, and her dad’s side is from Michoacan, Mexico. Her goals currently are to maintain good grades and get her permit.

During her free time, she enjoys going to the movies with friends and family, going on road-trips, going to the beach, and taking a nap whenever possible. Some of her favorite shows to watch are That ’70s Show, Gossip Girl, Dexter, etc. Something she likes about Birmingham is how many different elective opportunities it provides. Birmingham has so many different types of classes to choose from, and some of the classes even include college credit. Something she dislikes about Birmingham is how strict they’ve gotten recently, and the phone ban.

Her plans as of now are to graduate high school and most likely attend community college for her first two years, then finish her last two years at a university. Her overall goal in life is to get a well-paying job to be able to start providing for her parents the same way they provided for her.
