Lizeth Santiago, Staff Writer
Lizeth Santiago is a senior at BCCHS and she has taken college and AP courses offered by the school during her junior year but this year, she’s only taking one AP class. She wants to finish the school year strong and maintaining good grades is something that her parents care very much about. She mainly likes reading non-fiction in her free time but doesn’t like romance novels since they are too cheesy.
She played basketball and volleyball in middle school and recreational parks but stopped participating in sports in high school since she didn’t have the time. She played the position of center in basketball and her favorite part was feeling the adrenaline when a player came towards her and tried to stop her from making the shot. She loved the teamwork and the companionship of her teammates as they made memories together.
Lizeth is now in the yearbook, working for the sports section. She is in charge of taking pictures for boys basketball and boys wrestling this year.
She likes helping others and likes volunteer work because she likes to learn new things. She has an open mind and loves meeting new people. Going out on spontaneous adventures and being with her friends are two of her favorite activities.
She has two dogs, an English bulldog and a chihuahua, that she loves very much and walks them whenever she has time on her hands. Lizeth also loves watching scary movies (whether they are based on a true story or not), since it’s the thrill that she enjoys. She loves playing and hearing loud music–mainly rap and spanish urban trap music to get her moving. At parties, you will always see her having fun and enjoying life in the moment.
