Maddie, Mads, is a 15 year old Sagittarius who is warm hearted and loves to work with others. She is currently a sophomore at Birmingham Community Charter High School and is involved in the Creative and Liberal Senate  (CAL). She is very determined in school. Her favorite subject is Math (crazy, huh?) She is a class clown who will put a smile on anyone's face but will always put the important things in her life first. She loves to express herself with words and has a deep connection with her writing.

Her love for writing started off with small poems expressing her life and relating to other people around her. Maddie's writing then expanded to her wanting to be a journalist chick. She is most inspired when she is outdoors and in nature. She wants to continue this throughout all of high school and college. Her news partner is Katherine Oyebobola, aka Kat, who is also a very courageous writer. Maddie's passion for being a journalist has changed her life, and she hopes to change the lives of others with her writing as well.
