A Vivid Dream That Crept

A Vivid Dream That Crept

Eduardo Romero, Student Writer

It devours that which is now and slowly dies as it passes

You never experience that which is, but acknowledge it until it is that which once was

That which comes but isn’t seen until it is gone

The feeling it leaves behind

That melancholy that haunts you

Like a vivid dream that crept into your mind

And grew like a seed

But fades with every passing day

Yes it is gone, never to be dwelt with

Yes it came and went like a flash of light

But it did shine oh so bright

This moment that isn’t now

But remains as a shadow
