[SPOILER WARNING!! ]
With both Kageyama and Tsukishima attending training camps, Hinata becomes jealous and decides to do something about it. Hinata ends up making an appearance at the Miyagi Prefecture First Year’s Training Camp. Everyone is in shock seeing that Karasuno’s middle blocker attended as well. Hinata is determined to out-best Kageyama and to prove to his team that he is improving this season. The one in charge of this training camp so happens to be Shiratorizawa’s coach, Tanji Washijo. Coach Tanji isn’t fond of Hinata, due to the fact Hinata reminds him of his younger self.
Coach Tanji decides to allow Hinata to stay at the training camp despite not being invited. However, there is a catch to his proposition: Hinata cannot participate in any of the camp games nor can he interfere with the practices. He would only be a water boy and help clean up when the camp was done for the day. Throughout the rest of the season, Karasuno faces various powerhouse schools. With the guidance of the camps, each of their players has improved in skill and logic when it comes to volleyball. After many wins, Karasuno is matched up with the all-time champion school Inarizaki. This battle will determine whether or not Karasuno levels up to nationals. Inarizaki ends up losing 25-16 to Karasuno, their first-ever loss.
Karasuno will now be advancing to nationals in the second half of season 4. We will see where the rest of their journey takes the boys and their dreams.
