On October 16, DC had their second DC Fandome event live streamed on dcfandome.com. The event revealed new DC content coming in the near future. They showed footage from upcoming movies, TV shows, and video games. We saw some new faces and similar ones as well.

This event was about the celebration of DC Media and looking forward to the future of it. Last year’s event gave us new content announcements and this year’s event added onto those announcements, giving the fans more to look forward to and be excited about. The content shown looks promising and looks like it will not disappoint.

The first look at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Black Adam

At the event, DC showed behind the scenes footage of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as Black Adam. Johnson has been cast as Black Adam since 2014 and next year on July 29, he will finally get his own movie. Not only will we see Black Adam on the big screen, but we will also see other DC characters such as Atom Smasher, Hawkman, Doctor Fate, and Cyclone. The Justice Society of America is also confirmed to be a part of the movie.

Our brand new look at The Flash’s new suit

DC Fandome also gave us our first look at The Flash film coming out next year on November 4. In the film, we will see Ezra Miller playing The Flash and Sasha Calle playing our other beloved Kryptonian, Supergirl.

We will also see not only one, but two Batmen reprising their roles. Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck will be returning to the DC universe as they come back to their roles as the Caped Crusader. The film’s plot will follow the famous Flashpoint storyline in which Barry Allen travels back in time to save his mother. This film is one of the more anticipated movies that DC fans are excited about and it looks very promising.

A look at the Black Manta’s newly upgraded suit in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

The King of Atlantis, Aquaman, makes his return to the big screen next year on December 16. With James Wan set to return to direct Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the fans expect another fun, action-packed adventure, just like the first one that released back in December, 2018. The three main actors are returning to their roles: Jason Momoa will come back as Aquaman, Amber Heard will return as Mera, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will return as Black Manta.

Saving best for last, DC Fandome showed the very first trailer for The Batman releasing in theaters, March 4, 2022. Last year at the first DC Fandome event, the first teaser for The Batman was shown and fans were insanely hyped for the movie. Despite doubts and concerns of Robert Pattinson not being a right fit to play everyone’s beloved caped crusader, last year’s teaser shut down everyone’s doubt and immediately got all the fans excited.

The trailer showed this year made everybody even more excited. In the trailer, we see Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. We also see Andy Serkis as Alfred, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, and Jeffrey Wright as James (Commissioner) Gordon. The trailer contains great looking action sequences. The movie looks visually pleasing and the music in the trailer sounds well composed.

This movie has a lot of potential to be the greatest Batman film rivaling The Dark Knight directed by Christopher Nolan. Not only does it have potential to be the greatest Batman film, but the greatest comic book movie of all time as well.
