A brand new Porto’s Bakery is set to open in Northridge in January 2022, for all of the Porto’s fans out there. Porto’s is a well-known Cuban bakery with enormous lines of customers hoping to get their hands on the delicious treats.

The new bakery will be located at 19467 W. Nordhoff St, in the building formerly held by Sears Auto Center.  However, for the time being, the bakery has been operating a tent at the Northridge Fashion Center’s farmers market every Wednesday.

Rosa Porto is the baker who founded the popular Porto’s Bakery & Café with her family in 1976 on Sunset Boulevard in Echo Park, California. They later expanded all over southern California and became one of the most popular cafes operating today.

Last year, Porto’s announced that the new store would open in December 2020, but this date was later pushed back to January 2022. They chose to do so because they wanted to launch after the holidays to ensure a smooth opening and since construction had been delayed during the pandemic

So get ready for even more delicious cakes, pastries, cookies, potato balls, and other delightful treats in the nearby future!
