The phenomenal series Game of Thrones recently released a spin-off show called “Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon.” Many Game of Thrones fans had been anticipating this new spin-off, and the great thing about enjoying the new series is that you don’t need to have any background on the original series.

The Game of Thrones fandom wants to see whether or not the new series will live up to their expectations. The new series stars Milly Alcock, Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Emily Carey, and Paddy Considine.

On August 21, 2022, the first episode was released on HBO Max, and HBO Max is the only site to watch the new series. House of the Dragon takes place 200 years before the setting in Games of Thrones as the writers of the show decided to make this a prequel to the Game of Thrones series. The series shows the origin of the events that take place in Game of Thrones and what led up to those events.

Game of Thrones fans were very excited about this series and they were ecstatic when the first episode came out. The series is about the Targaryen monarchy and who gets to take over the throne once the king dies. The king chose his daughter as the next heir to the iron throne once he dies because his wife died and they never had a male heir that lived.

The people don’t want a girl as their next ruler and there are other people in the monarchy that want the throne. They argue to see who would be the best next king since the people don’t want a queen, especially one that is young. The men in the house believe the empire will fall and that nobody would obey the next queen.

The series contains a lot of gory scenes (think R-rated) that will have you on the edge of your seat. Every Sunday is an opportunity to sit back and relax because each episode is at least an hour long. Overall, the series has got an 85% from Rotten Tomatoes with a 4.4/5 star rating.
