Thyrone Brown, Sports Editor
Thyrone Brown is a 16-year-old senior enrolled at Birmingham Community Charter High School. He’s a sports enthusiast who was a former football player for youth football teams. He was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles and his family would then move out to Van Nuys to attend schools with better opportunities. The move out of South Central Los Angeles would show him the crystal clear difference in living between the two areas.
Although it’s his first time working with a newspaper, he’s very enthusiastic to get started on his first story. He’s very engaged in news, not only in sports but also politics, world conflicts, and entertainment. Some of the hobbies Thyrone is very engaged in are gaming, exercising, and traveling.
He’ll be writing about the many BCCHS sports, current trends, and mainstream entertainment. Along with that, Thyrone is interested in writing about various world news topics and stories because he’s very engaged in global political issues and has many different points of view than his peers. He will NEVER sugarcoat, be biased, mislead, or only have one side of the story.
