Dr. Claudia Aguirre visits BCCHS
October 29, 2014
On Thursday, October 16th, Dr. Claudia Aguirre, PhD, daughter of BCCHS’s very own Ms. Rose Aguirre made a visit to our campus to discuss careers in science. Several science classes crowded into the Oral Arts building to listen to her lecture.
Aguirre, a graduate of both USC and UCLA, is a neuroscientist who specializes in the mind-body connection, in addition to exploring the future of cosmetics. She has been involved in the production of many skin care products like face washes, anti-aging creams, lotions, and scrubs. She even joked with the girls in the audience about ‘studying beauty’ during her presentation. Besides formulating beautifying products, she’s had her share of videos and articles that have been used and promoted on websites like IFL Science and even TedEd.
