Stephen Curry broke the NBA record for the most 3-pointers of all time. Stephen Curry broke the record set by Ray Allen for most 3-pointers on Tuesday, December 14. The record Ray Allen set was 2,973, as this is how many 3-pointers Allen made in his career and what led him to break Reggie Miller’s record prior to him. This was a big deal for Curry as he ends the debate about who’s the best 3-point shooter of all time.

Going into the 2021-22 season, Curry was 142 3-pointers away from breaking Allen’s record. This was an easy accomplishment for Curry as he is averaging 5.4 3-pointers per game. Curry has had a fantastic season and has NBA records to go with it as they frequently land in the top three power rankings in the NBA.

Curry also beat Allen’s record in just half the games. Curry is on pace to put the most 3-pointers in a career with a number nearly impossible to beat. With all the talk about who the best 3-point shooter is, Curry just proved why he comes out on top.
