As we all know, sometime last year word started spreading of the split between American socialite Kim Kardashian and well-known rapper Ye (formerly Kanye West). This difficult breakup has left both parties in distress for their own respective reasons.

According to a timeline from elle.com, back in February of last year, Kim Kardashian had filed for divorce. This report had come after months of rumors and speculation on the state of the couple’s marriage. At the time of these reports, Kardashian was seeking joint custody of their children but as we know now, that didn’t happen.

In October 2021, it had been reported that she would follow through with filing the divorce amidst the rumors going around that the couple would be getting back together. Furthermore, an anonymous source told People magazine, “Kim and Kanye are friends, but that’s it. She is still moving forward with the divorce.” This all happened during the time Kardashian was hosting Saturday Night Live.

Both parties involved in this divorce situation have experienced distress for certain reasons. Kim’s distress comes from the fact that she and Pete Davidson started a relationship. Since they started going out, people have been threatening Davidson–so much so, that she began to worry for both of their well beings.

Kim and her daughter North have a shared Tiktok account. Screenshots had been spreading on Twitter of the TikTok account and how it seems unsafe for North to have access to the internet at such a young age.

The split has had an effect on Ye’s mental health in a way because he’s been obsessively posting on Instagram regarding his ex and her new boyfriend Pete Davidson. All Ye claims to want is to be close to his kids, so he bought a house across the street from Kim’s which could be considered petty and/or stalker behavior.

Ye got into another relationship with Julia Fox while still posting about wanting to get back with Kim, but as it turns out, there were no feelings in the relationship because Julia was allegedly using Ye for his status. Recently Ye was seen with a new girl who looks suspiciously like Kim.

About a month ago or so, Ye was going on social media talking about how all he wants is to keep his daughter, North, off the internet for her safety. This is understandable but there’s nothing he can do about it because he is not present in her life. At the moment, some people on social media agree with Ye about his stance on North being on social media, but some are defending it because Kim is monitoring the account.

Pete Davidson and Ye have gotten into what seems to be a one-sided feud–on Ye’s part because he’s been bad-mouthing Pete and calling him names. This has been going on since Kim and Pete were seen out at an amusement park back in October. Recently, Ye released a new music video depicting Davidson’s death in the form of claymation.

A few weeks ago, messages between Ye and Davidson were leaked which were a bit vulgar but in the messages, Davidson appeared to be egging Ye on with the fact that he was dating Kim Kardashian.

As of March 3, 2022, in a U.S. court, Kim and Ye’s marriage was officially declared over. The following day, Kim dropped the West part of her name from her social media bios.
