Ruano also has two siblings, one of them being her twin sister, and the other being a graduate student at UCSB. As a student, Ruano is a hardworking and goal-oriented person who focuses on her academic studies. She is the President of the French Club, a College Peer Counselor, was on the BCCHS Wrestling Team, and is now a part of the Journalism newspaper staff.
Ruano has many passions and interests including animal rights, video games, meditation, activism, reading, and music. In her free time, she is either mixing music, thrift shopping, painting, or taking walks around her neighborhood. One of her favorite places to go is the beach, where she can photograph and spend time in the water (ironically, she is a Pisces).
Ruano is also a very spiritual person and she meditates twice a day, collects crystals, and listens to ambient music. Although she doesn’t watch much television, some of her favorite shows include Dexter, How to Get Away with Murder, SheRa, and Bleach. Other things that Ruano loves to do is spend time with friends and family, star gazing, and playing the guitar.
After high school, Ruano wants to attend a four-year university, with her dream school being UC Santa Cruz. She wants to major in political science and minor in the French language and culture studies. After college, Ruano wants to pursue a job in the optometry field in which she can heal people. Other goals she has in life would be to form her own animal rights group and construct an LGBTQ youth center. Ruano’s ultimate goal in life is to own a non-profit farm animal sanctuary, along with a vegan cafe.
