Stephanie Tran
Stephanie Tran is a 17 year old senior at Birmingham Community Charter High School. She enjoys drawing, reading, and playing video games in her leisure time. She finds interest in journalism through its writing and gateway to student perspectives. She seems quiet and shy at first, but she really isn’t - don’t fool yourself.

Stephanie was born as a Vietnamese American. She’s more “American” than she is “Vietnamese” in the sense that she jives more with American culture overall, but she holds herself with pride and embraces both sides regardless. On this note, she also finds learning about various cultures and traditions around the world to be a great joy! She hasn't traveled much in her life, but she's interested in doing so in the future.

In the past, Stephanie was associated with the BCCHS Music Program where she played percussion and electric bass in the marching, concert, and jazz bands. Though she is no longer involved in the program, she has since rekindled a love for a different art - visual art. She loves the idea of being able to express her inner imagination however she wants, and illustration lets her do just that. While Stephanie practices drawing in her own time, she wishes to study digital art in the future, whether it be at a four-year university or a private art school.
