Alex Caicedo, Staff Writer
Alex Caicedo is a junior at Birmingham Community Charter High School. He has been attending Birmingham since freshman year. He is a 17-year-old male who was born in Ecuador and grew up playing soccer at his home country. He grew up with a different kind of childhood than others from being in a poor country eating cheese and rice for dinner and then moving to a country that gives people many opportunities. He also enjoys going to the movie theaters, playing video games, and going outside. His favorite hobby right now is learning Hebrew and binge-watching shows. One of his favorite shows right now is “Euphoria” and “Daredevil.”
Alex enjoys listening to different types of music genres but overall his favorite is Punk Rock. His favorite rappers/bands are Nirvana, 3 Doors Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Juice Wrld. He also wishes he could meet these bands in the future if they’re still around.
Alex also has many wishes and dreams he could accomplish in the future. Some of his wishes and dreams are to become very successful with becoming a psychologist and some type of clothes designer. He also wishes to travel the world and to learn and see parts of the world that he had no idea were even real. He also loves to eat different types of food and wishes to eat and learn about different variations of foods around the world. The places he has been lucky to travel to are Ecuador, United States (California, Miami, and New York), and next year he hopes to travel to Hawaii.
Alex’s dream car that he wishes to get is a 2021 Lamborghini Urus colored black. His favorite colors are black and dark purple and his favorite sport to watch is soccer. He also wishes to get into a private college for psychology. One that he’s very interested in right now is the University of Southern California. He understands that right now he’s very far from his dreams and goals but he is willing to work hard to make his dreams real. He wants to be a psychologist because he wants to help people that go through hard things in life because he understands the pain they are going through.
