Kimberly Castaneda

Kimberly Castaneda, Sports Editor

Kimberly Castaneda is a 17-year old senior at Birmingham Community Charter High School. She was born in Tijuana, Mexico but came to San Fernando Valley when she was 2. Kimberly is the youngest from her siblings and only girl. She is part of yearbook and participated in student council since freshman year. She loves going to gym and reading romance books.  She enjoys going out with friends and watching movies with family. Kimberly has 4 dogs and 2 cats. Her hobbies include baking and hiking. She played basketball first 2 years of high school. In her free time, she loves taking naps with her pets. One thing she can't stand is chocolate. She also loves to write about her feelings. Her favorite color is green and brown. Favorite food is any seafood. Some food she can't stand is donuts, churros, and funnel cakes.

She is currently volunteering at her public library. She loves sports and has played every sport except golf or tennis. In the future, she plans to attend to college and major in Engineering. She's been interested in engineering because of her dad. Although, there isn't a lot of women in that field, she finds that her motivation to stay that  Her dream colleges are UCSB, UCLA, and California Polytechnic State University. She is part of a program at CSUN named TRIO Upward Bound. Her birthday is in the Spring and loves the flowers daisies. Kimberly has an online shopping addiction. She loves amazon and ordering make up. She is in love with Starbucks especially matcha lattes.
