Romina Molinari, Arts & Entertainment Editor
Romina Molinari is a 16-year-old sophomore at Birmingham Community Charter High School. Romina was born in Los Angeles, California, and both of her parents are from Argentina. She has one younger sister named Ana. Some of the things she enjoys doing is thrifting, hanging out with friends, reading fashion magazines, and listening to music. From a young age, Romina has always loved music and going to concerts, and some of her favorite musical artists are The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, Rosalia, Lana Del Rey, Rihanna, Charli XCX, etc. She also really enjoys Spanish and rock music and has been to around 16 concerts. Also, she hopes to go to a music festival one day like Coachella, Reading and Leeds music festival, Glastonbury Festival, or Lollapalooza.
She also enjoys watching movies in her free time although she doesn't do it very often. Some of her favorite movies are Lady Bird, 13 Going on 30, Grease, 10 Things I Hate About You, and Girl Interrupted. Her favorite books to read are “Just Kids” By Patti Smith and "It" By Alexa Chung. Her favorite foods are burritos, gnocchis, ice cream, french fries, milanesas, and anything her mom cooks. She wants to start practicing cooking and baking, just like her mom. The only sport she is interested in is soccer because it’s a huge part of her culture and it's always playing in her living room TV with her dad. Her two favorite teams are the Argentina national football team and Boca Juniors.
Her future plans as of now are to successfully graduate high school and most likely attend a community college then finish her last two years at a university or maybe even do one year abroad somewhere. Somewhere like Spain, London, Italy, or even Buenos Aires. Even though she’s lived in the valley her whole life, she wants to get the experience of what it’s like to live in a different place and meet new people along the way. She is interested in becoming a fashion-music journalist. She would love to go to events and interview people so she could write about it. That is the reason why she joined journalism--to get experience and learn more about the topic. She hopes to travel to the cities that she desires to go to one day. She also hopes to accomplish all the things she wants to achieve throughout the upcoming years.
