After a three-year hiatus, The Neighbourhood announced their 2026 world tour for their new album “‘(((((ultraSOUND))))).”
The Neighbourhood is analternative American rock band, formed in Newbury Park, California, in 2011. They are known for their blending of indie rock with electronic, hip-hop, and R&B. The band got their big break around 2013, when their hit song “Sweater Weather” came out, making them iconic in the indie alternative scene.
From there on out, the band continued releasing albums, singles, and touring internationally through the years. After releasing their fourth studio album, “Chip Chrome & the Mono-Tones” in 2020, the band played two major shows in October 2021, one at the Hollywood Bowl and the other at Forest Hills Stadium, before announcing a hiatus in early 2022.
In August of this year, 2025, The Neighbourhood announced on Instagram the return of the band and teased new music. The news left fans very excited for the band’s comeback. A few months before they released the album, they had pop-ups around Los Angeles that gave fans the chance to hear some unreleased tracks. Then last month, they announced their world tour and released their new album.
In a recent interview, the band did on The Zane Lowe Show, they talked about their new album and their return as a band, “There’s a magic here, when we all come together. It’s hard, but it also feels so much better when we make it work,” said Jesse Rutherford, the lead singer. Zach Abels, the main guitarist, mentioned, “I just think we know ourselves more now.”
Now, with their 2026 tour, which is expected to start in March and conclude in October, fans from all over are eagerly looking forward to it. I think it will be interesting to see how The Neighbourhood will continue through these upcoming years. It will take some time to see what this new chapter holds for them.
