Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak were both seen as players with great potential before joining Liverpool in the 25/26 season. Since both players were a huge help to their teams winning trophies, having both players on the same team seemed dangerous (for the rest of the league). But after spending 200 million pounds on both players combined. Isak even broke the British transfer market fee with a 125 million pound price tag from Newcastle. But now, after only having one assist and a goal to his name, the Liverpool fans are left wondering, what went wrong?
Liverpool, the current Premier League Champions, isn’t currently in the best position to compete for another title. They are sitting 10th in the table when they were just dominating the league not too long ago. Arne Slot has been put on fraud watch as his questionable tactics align with the team. However, when they had a team that was balanced, they were unstoppable. Winning the quintuple and reaching the Club World Cup final. Therefore, Arne Slot needs to have a balanced amount of skilled players in each position to return to the form they had last season.
