Artemis 2 is one of the most anticipated space missions of the 21st century, as it is now circling the moon. This mission is taking humans further from Earth than ever before. There has been a lot of talk that this mission has been as anticipated as the first moon landing. The most important thing about this mission is its impact on future generations. Will pursuing a new career in space exploration have a significant impact on future generations?
Furthermore, this mission helps kids pursue and get inspired in STEM-related fields, due to young people seeing people travel to the moon and then on to Mars. These observations of the past moon landing and future moon landings make them want to do that in the future. In my case, when I saw videos of space missions, I had always wanted to have a space-related job, and I hope that future generations see these moon missions and get inspired to follow in the footsteps of past astronauts in space exploration.
Additionally, this moon landing represents our expanding knowledge of space in general; it shows that people are focusing more on space than our actual planet, which may also have another impact on our generation. Could this have more of a negative impact because of how this may cause generations to be more focused on space exploration than our actual planet? Could this have a detrimental effect on our planet’s environment, as seen in the past when we only focused on space exploration? Currently, our planet is starting to see the consequences of climate change, and this affects humanity as a whole and the animal kingdom in general.
Adding on to the talk of climate change, this mission may emit a massive amount of carbon emissions, which can cause climate change. Climate change has been a consequence throughout history, and it has affected us massively. We have to protect our planet for everyone, but especially our future generations. This mission may also make young people pursue a career in advocating for our planet.
Overall, this mission will have both positive and negative impacts on our future generations. Many people are ready to see humanity leave its home planet once again for the moon, but there will be some who see it as bad for our planet. Finally, this mission might have the same amount of traction as the Apollo missions had, but will it lead to the future exploration of our solar system?
